2016 Summer Reading: Let’s Get Healthy

This year’s theme is “Exercise Your Mind: Read!” The programs this year are designed to teach kids about healthy lifestyle choices including, physical activities, sports, outdoor activities, relaxation techniques, yoga, healthy eating habits, healthy cooking, etc. All of the events are posted on our Events page. We’re offering two sessions of most programs in Louisa. We understand everyone is busy and this provides more flexibility in attending our programs. We’re also continuing Summer Reading in Blaine this year on Wednesdays.

I am also very excited to announce we are participating in the Summer Feed Program. This program is sponsored by the Father Beiting Mission Center and the Lawrence County school system. Every week day this summer we’ll have free lunch at the library for kids ages 18 and under. Our bookmobile will also deliver meals on our regular routes as well. We are very proud to serve the children in our wonderful county.
