Healthy Cooking Class

Every Tuesday in June the Lawrence County Extension Office is offering a healthy cooking class at the library. The class begins at 1:30 p.m., is free, and will include weekly giveaways.

2016 Summer Reading Contest Announced

The Lawrence County Public Library and the Lawrence County Tourism Committee are excited to announce the 2016 Summer Reading Contest. This year the prize will be a “Staycation” package that highlights some of Lawrence County’s recreational activities. The prize includes campground passes, a kayak, fishing poles, tent set, and much more. More details are available by clicking HERE.

Summer Student Internship Program

The library is now accepting applications for the Summer Student Internship Program. Applications are available online at: https://lcplky.org///about-us/openings/. The program is open to students ages 12-18. The internship is volunteer only and will not be paid. Students however will earn community service hours for their service. Free Genealogy Research Help

The Lawrence County Public Library in partnership with the Louisa chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is offering free genealogy research assistance every third Thursday of the month from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Later times may be accommodated if requested.
