Mission Statement:
The Lawrence County Public Library is a place for entertainment, insight, inspiration, instruction, and innovation.
The Lawrence County Public Library services the over 15,000 citizens of Lawrence County as well as neighboring patrons in West Virginia. Located in the county seat of Louisa, the 16,794 square foot building was renovated in 2020.
The library is governed by a board of five trustees, appointed by the Lawrence County Judge Executive, and operated by a staff of six full-time and three part-time employees. The library also employees high school and/or college students as needed.
